 Pedal Box modification.
« Thread Started on Mar 14, 2012, 5:40pm »

Can anyone tell me what the requirements are for modifying pedal boxes. What I am intending to do is convert my commodore from cable to hydraulic, but requires some cutting and welding of the peadlbox, but only on the clutch pedal side. None of the structure or mounting points will be touched in anyway. Also, does this require certification?
Thanz, Anthony.

Hi Anthony

There are no specific requirements for modifying a pedal box - any modifications you perform should follow general good practice engineering principles and should be fit for purpose. If it's only the clutch pedal section of the pedal box you're modifying, you shouldn't need any certification - but that will ultimately depend on the modification.
