Hi all, Ive got an 82 chev c10 pickup and want to install LPG in it. I have a freshly tested tank and all the plumbing and mixer etc off another SB engine same as mine. What are the requirements as far as certification on such an install ? Info seems a little thin on the ground and I cant seem to find the install requirements on the web. Once installed it'll be going to someone to get tuned, but Id like a copy of the rules for doing it to save any potential screw-ups on my part.
Thanks

Hi there
Unfortunately this is somewhat outside the scope of LVVTA, as we do not certify alternative fuel systems.
I recommend that you contact an alternative fuels specialist, (you should be able to find an installer in the yellow pages or via the internet) or alternatively an alternative fuels inspector. I expect most vehicle testing stations will have a person with the required knowledge and/or experience in this field to give you the relevant advice, or to point you in the right direction. There may also be a standards document you can work to, but I am unsure where you might find a copy other than seeking advice from those listed above.
Sorry we can't help further.
Justin.
