Hi
i have a four door Subaru caged race car which was road legal, it now has extensive body modification, rear doors are welded up and bodywork now covers the rear doors which effectively makes it a two door as only the front doors work.
I would like like to exit the exhaust through the v8 super tourer side skirts that are on there, basically in exactly the same way the v8 super tourer race cars do it. This means the exhaust tip will be just in front of the rear wheels but inline with the end of the rear door. I reiterate rear doors are welded shut and no longer operational. Can I get the car certed with the exhaust like this?
Just to add, I intend to run the exhaust under the factory metal sill and through the fibreglass sill. I may need to cut factory metal sill though, is this allowed at all or a definite no way in hell scenario.
thanks

This should be able to be certified, if the exhaust is exiting behind the opening doors.
Before you contemplate any cutting of the sill, please work through a plan with your certifier.
