Hi mate
I am wanting to convert a 80 series LandCruiser to a Single cab flatdeck ute I have seen them before, but unsure about the certification of this modification, or if it is even able to be certified, I want to cut the rear of the cab about 200-300mm behind the b pillar, so no modification to front seatbelt mounts etc, and will fabricate rear panel etc I assume I will need to add another cab/chassis mount, I purchased the lvvta manual a few years back but can't seem to find much on cab modifications etc, I assume I will need to discuss the method I will use with cert guy as I know there is no set way to do this, but at this stage just wan't to know if I can do it, as I don't want to purchase a LandCruiser and than find it's not possible, also what catergory certifier would I need for this
Thanks in advance for your help
Cheers

Good morning, Yes, you can convert a wagon to a ute. It's a fairly popular conversion. Get hold of your local certifier, and he can talk you through at what stage(s) he will want to look at the vehicle during the build process, and common mistakes that he might have seen. With this conversion, you'll need a 1C level certifier minimum. www.lvvta.org.nz/contact.html#certifier
