Just curious on the rules of lowering a car after cert?
Ive got a car that’s certified for an engine swap but now im wanting to lower it, whats the rules behind it? Am i able to lower the car legally or can the cops do anything about it if its not at the height specified
Legally the car should be at the height recorded on the plate (or within the 5% tolerance). To get the details on the plate changed should not incur a full re-cert though, so we'd recommend you discuss the costs involved with your certifier directly.

kevinclancy: I have just joined the forum - I am converting my 1986 Honda City convertible to an EV (electric vehicle) I would love to correspond with anyone who has done an EV conversion here in NZ - I know there out there but right now I feel like I am all on my own
