Dunno if this has been bought up, couldnt see anything in the hobby car manual, but are you allowed to run aluminium link bars in a rear end to hold a solid axle in? From the likes of a speedway car? Billet aluminium?

Billet aluminium? Hi Dooga, Four-link radius rods manufactured from aluminium may be used, but they must be supported by documented evidence to substantiate that the material that the aluminium rods are made from, provides equal or greater strength than the equivalent mild steel tubing that would be required under the relevant table of the Car Construction Manual. Refer to section 6.34 of the Suspension Systems Chapter in the Car Construction Manual and table 6.2 noting the sidebar says The dimensions specified in Table 6.2 are based on the use of mild steel tubing. Aluminium tubing should be avoided for road use, unless top quality material is used, and the diameter is substantially increased in order to provide strength equal to or better than the mild steel equivalent.Hopefully that helps Cheers Chris
