r32gts4: hi there i have a Nissan skyline r32 gts4 4 door i was wondering if its ok stretching the outside skin of rear guards and making a new inside top and side cut for the wheel arch and mig weld back in too fit bigger wheels with camber arms and lowerd Dec 5, 2016 19:09:22 GMT 12
Leon: Yes, you will need to weld the two skins back together again to re-instate the strength. This will also mean you have to use a 1C or higher grade certifier, because it involves body modification. Please see our contact a certifer page at www.lvvta.org.nz Dec 8, 2016 8:37:11 GMT 12
dave: An imported Model A (modified production) built 2010, Pete & Jakes front end, super bell ibeam...does the ibeam need to be tested and the stubs crack tested? Jan 10, 2017 15:44:52 GMT 12
Leon: Superbell axle will need to be nodularity tested yes. What are the stubs? Jan 12, 2017 7:01:00 GMT 12
dave: Pete & Jakes front end...ie Pete & Jakes stubs. Jan 13, 2017 21:08:43 GMT 12
Leon: No, they wouldn't need crack testing. Note: I don't get any alert when somebody posts in a "shoutbox", so you're better to email just in case nobody sees that you've asked a question :) Jan 16, 2017 7:28:15 GMT 12
dave: Ok thanks Leon, new to this Forum thing, need to up skill. Cheers Dave Jan 16, 2017 18:19:24 GMT 12
