Hi I have been looking for a particular length of column for a car I am building that is collapsible. I have a non collapsible one that is perfect in length. Talking to a mate the other day, he said a certifier got him to drill holes in a particular pattern to turn a non collapsible column into a collapsible column for cert. Is this OK to do? Thanks Patrick

Hi Patrick
No, this method would not pass LVV Certification. There are several options however, most of which are fairly straightforward. This information is all contained in the NZ Hobby Car Technical Manual.
