Hi there,
Was reading through one of the lvvta documents about door retention systems, and it says 'a door is not required to open from the outside' or something along those lines..
My question is:
If i shaved my rear doors handles, but haven't installed any alternative opening system yet, will it still pass a wof or does it need to be certed? It can still open from the inside, just not from the outside?
I know the doors have to be certed if i put in place alternative opening mechanisms i.e poppers right?

G'day,
The part of the LVV standard you refer to is really aimed at the LVV certification process for the LVV Certifiers. To get the answer to your question, you'd be best to run it by the guy who is going to do your WOF inspection, as they may have a slightly different take on the situation than that which is written in the LVV Standard for the LVV Certifier.
Hope that helps.
