I am building a T Bucket. Room in the footwell is tight anyway, but with my S13 feet its decidely cramped. I note the logical requirement for the brake pedal to be on the RHS of the column. To do this in my case puts the gas and brake pedals too close together for safety, I already have nightmares about my S13 hitting them both. My solution would be to put the brake on the LHS of the column and left foot brake, which a lot of people already do with auto trans. Presumably all I need is a dispensation for a departure from the HCM rules.

Well thats the thing. I don't know if thats what I need to do. My certifier tells me its an LVVTA rule rather than anything to do with NZTA and legislation. Its certainly not a WOF issue. More a safety issue really, seems to me.
Where do I go from here, is what I really want to know.
