Hi, Is there a check list available that I can use to go over the car in advance of the certifier doing an inspection?
I've got the hobby car manual & there's lots of stuff to cover so I was hoping there was a list that would take me through a systematic way of doing a pre check.
In my case it's a scratch built so there's lot to consider.
It would be rather disappointing to have the certifier point out some simple thing that I had over looked.

Hi Robin
The Hobby Car Technical Manual is the right source of information. It is a lot to go through but that reflects the diverse and complex nature of scratchbuilts.
Some builders make notes in the manual while they are doing the build, so they know which parts have been covered off and what's left to do.
With a scratchbuilt the certifier will usually make more than one inspection so you'll get pointers along the way.

Hi Dan, Yes I understand about the HCTM, & mine is getting quite dog eared. However it is not set out in an order I would use to check off a car.
I understand that the form set used by the certifier is structured in a methodical manner to ensure an effective end to end coverage.
I was hoping that this had been summarised into a check list that I could use as a memory jogger as I go around the car and then use the HCTM to provide the detail where I wasn't sure I'd finished that item.
