hi there i was hoping i could get some help on this, just a few questions to be answered, iv got a 1200 datsun ute and am putting a full custom irs in the back from a datsun 510 sedan. iv already shortened the xmember of the irs and have everything in place sitting on wheels etc all made from thick steel 50x50x5 rhs and 6mm plate for hangers etc. i wanted to know weather the way i have it now for the lower mount for the shock is ok?? i had to remove the old one and make a new piece to bolt to get the geometry right and get plenty of height adjustment. and is the rhs heavy enough or is that to small to be using that size??

Hi Anton, Hopefully you've got a copy of the Hobby Car Manual nearby to refer back to. We can't provide too much in the way of advice based on photos, so the best advice at this stage would be for you to contact and start working with a certifier. With the level of modifications you've carried out in the vehicle so far, you will need a 1D certifier. Potentially, depending on the rear end you have fitted, you might also need to apply for certification to cover a custom independent rear. Your certifier can advise you there. There is an online map of certifiers, so click on the link, and contact somebody near to you from that list. www.lvvta.org.nz/contact.html#certifier
