I am using an early ford I beam axle, stubs & wishbone which I have split on my current project .I would like to know what the certification requirements are on using this axle as to whether this equipment is needing to be crack tested for approval

Hi Dave,
Is this a cast, or a forged axle?

The axle is a 35 ford forged item with 46 ford stub axles

If it's a 35 Ford forged, and isn't dropped or modified, then it won't need to be tested.
If it is dropped, then this drop can only be done by an approved person. If it has been dropped, and you can't demonstrate that it was done by an approved person, then it can't be certified.
Anything cast will need to go to LVVTA for testing to ensure that the carbon content is correct.
