Hi, I am looking at buying a 1973 Chevy Caprice that has had the original 2 piece US belts replaced with current ones.
However I found that the diagonal part of the belt sat across my neck when I took it for a test drive. It's a pillarless coupe so there is nowhere else for the upper part of the belt to be anchored other than above the windowline. The bench seat has no height adjustment.
Is it possible to either lower that part of the belt, maybe by way of some sort of bracket arrangement etc, refit OE 2 piece belts again or raise the bench seat itself?
Need about 30-40mm either way.
Any help much appreciated.

I'd like to know if it's ok to anchor the top part of the seatbelt to the rollbar in a convertible. (Sorry to crash your question Craig but thought it's similar enough)

I've asked Dan to have a look at these questions, as he's our seat belt guru.
