Hi If I fit a full FAI harness - which the manual says I can without an authority card, do they need to be current for cert, or will expired ones be OK?
thanks Patrick

Good question, I'll put this one out to discussion, and come back to you here in a few days.

Good morning,
We've got a meeting with NZTA which should happen next week, and we are going to put it to that meeting.
I'll advise you here of the outcome.

I gather they're past the FIA expiry date on the strap from your question.
That being the case, what's the expiry date?

Hi Leon From memory, 2014. Although it is a general question, if I bought some unused or almost unused 3" FAI belts in top condition that had expired, they would still be stronger than a new set of 2" E marked belts with a plastic buckle from China.
thanks

So they're out of FIA international use expiry, but still able to be used under MSNZ + 5 year extension for non championship events.
Righto, shall add that information to the meeting.

From our meeting, I believe LVV will be following MotorSport NZ's lead, in accepting FIA expiry date + 5 years at time of certification.
We'll likely add this as a Newsletter item.
