Hey guys I was wondering how I find out what size tyres my landcruiser is certified for? I have rung lvvta and was told you don't cert tyres only rims and you keep no record of tyre size I'm confused as don't we need certification if tyres are over 5% difference in diameter?

It doesn't show on the cert plate, but is quite likely to be recorded on the original paperwork done by the certifier.
So, depending on how long ago the vehicle was certified, the certifier may still have a copy of the "F001" (which is the document that details many of the finer details). Which means that if you talk to the certifier, he may be able to advise you.
If not, you can request that we recall the original certification file from storage. That costs $50. We can then look to see if the tyre size in recorded there.

Thanks for the reply Leon how do I find out who certified it? Or do I have to just pay the $50, According to the original owner it's always had the wheels it's got on it which are 16x8s and on the cert plate it's certified for 16x9s also on the cert plate it says it's a 5 speed manual when it's an automatic. Landcruiser was certified in 2006 cheers troy

If you email us here at the office, with the cert number, we can look up who certified it.
