Ive made up a new steering column for my project and reused the felt top bushing from the original steering box is this ok? The lower bearing is a double row ballrace from a vp commodore column. Ive made up the first intermediate shaft from 4140 cut splines etc. the second intermediate i want to cut down a shaft from a L300 van (universal matches the rack im using and is part of the shaft) and spline the end. Will that meet certification standards?
When do door locks have to be upgraded to anti burst? Im planning to revin it as modified production (its an A60 ute) so will they need to be upgraded for a cert?
Thanks

Sorry on the delayed reply, we're a bit mad busy at the moment.
From what you've described so far, it is sounding promising. But, do start working with your certifier as soon as you can, as there may be some questions he has or you, and also while things are apart, that's the ideal time to start having a look at some of your modifications.
With steering stuff, you're going to need a 1D category certifier, and they can be booked a fair way in advance.
Door locks have to be upgraded to burst proof, when the vehicle becomes a scratch-built. If it remains modified production, then you can keep the OE gear.
