Hi folks, my first post, Apologies if i'm not fully up to speed. Im starting of on the restoration & repower of an MGB. I'm planning to drop in a rover V8 enginewhich should be fairly straightforward, as the conversion mainly mirrors the factory built MGB v8's. I've called in to see Aandrew Smith in Levin, and most of what i've planned seems straightforward. However, I'd like to update the rear suspension. Factory MGBV8's are still leaf springs, no linkage/location, and lever arm shock absorbers the later MG RV8' added a floorpan stiffener & tramp bars I've my mind swt on an Amercian aftermarket kit, from these guys:- www.classicconversionseng.com/MGB-4-Link-Rear-Suspension.htmthe kit bolts up the chassis on front spring mounts & existing shock absorber mounts, ditching the leaf springs & adding much better axle location Is there any way I can find out if this kit would be OK to get certified without biting the bullet, buying one& getting it over here? Any suggestion on the best 'next step' would be greatly appreciated? Thanks, Jim

Hi Jim,
It doesn't appear too controversial from looking at the photo from the sales brochure. Contact the supplier to get the material specs of the arms, and give all that information to Andy. Also show him the link you've provided here, as he is the person who will be needing to sign his name to all the modification.
As you say, the 3500 conversion into an MGB is a very popular one. Definitely one that sounds nice too!
