Hi all.
I have to shorten this shaft and was told that no welding was allowed.
I have since discovered that this might also be a no-go.
(Copied from another forum.)
I have since been told that "joining" the rod is not allowed (although fitment of a clevis or similar onto the end is) So worst case is I'll thread the shaft 1/2unf and screw on a female clevis.
In this situation can i machine my own clevis? (I'm a Turner by trade)

Good morning, the wording from the Hobby Car Technical Manual is as follows: If you've got a big project going, it might be a good investment to get a copy of the Hobby Car Technical manual. www.lvvta.org.nz/documents.html#hctmNo, there's nothing stopping you making your own clevis.

Thanks for that. I whipped this up today and will finish tomorrow- it's a much tidier solution anyway.
