Hi, Just trying to get car certed and there seems to be some confusion on specs for front 4 bar. 6.19.1(b) states typical minimum spec for medium weight vehicle is Schedule 80 12mm(1/2")Nominal Bore seamless tubing equivalent to 22mm(7/8") 8-gauge. My bars only measure 21.3mm OD and the certifier is not happy with these. According to every pipe & tube spec table I can find 1/2" Nominal Bore schedule 80(XS) has an O/D of 21.3mm.
Can you confirm for me whether the only tube I can buy from Steel&Tube which is this specification is OK to use.

Good afternoon,
Yes, we do accept that the 21.3mm pipe is acceptable as an equivalent.
Is it just the diameter that your certifier is unhappy with, or is there some other issue involved?

It was just the diameter. He has since come back and confirmed that it is OK. Thanks
