Hi Jeremy, There are a couple of Factory Five Racing kit cars on the road here, they're generally a great design. That said, there is an issue with some Factory Five Racing front suspension systems. LVV Certifier Marty Jones is likely the best person to talk to about these as he has been involved with the changes required to get them onto the road here. He may also be able to put you in touch with a vehicle owner for you to discuss with. Marty's details can be found here: www.lvvta.org.nz/documents/suplementary_information/CertifierList-Website.pdf

Hi Todd, thanks for the quick reply. I did wonder how the supplied A arms would fear given our scratch built guidelines. Its good to know that its all possible though. Ill be in touch with Marty.
Also thanks for maintaining an easy to use forum, it will certainly help the local certifiers from being rung up at all hours with simple questions.
Cheers
Jeremy

I'd need to check the details, but from memory, the issue is to do with the ball joints being loaded incorrectly. E.g, a compression-type balljoint being used in tension, or similar. The suspension system will also need to undergo design approval - similar to submitting your building plans to council before beginning construction. Marty may know of any other changes required.
Hope this helps.
