Hello i'm looking to make a small cut here in red in picture to fit oil cooler, would i need to get this certified? it doesn't look structural, just for radiator. 1981 Mazda 626 Cheers.

Looks like I spy an engine mount from a rotary and a rotary conversion would require certification so the certifier would capture this at the same time.
Cheers

Gidday Aaron, without being able to see clearly what you are cutting, I cannot give you a definitive answer but you do not require a cert when fitting an FMIC if... the front structure of the vehicle has not been modified, and the front bumper structure is unaltered (cosmetic changes are permitted), and the components do not present any forward-facing external projections, and none of the frontal impact components have been removed where the vehicle is required to comply with a frontal impact occupant protection standard I know you are fitting an oil cooler, but as there is no specific threshold item for an oil cooler then an FMIC is the closest I could relate. Hopefully that helps. Chris
