Just thinking of using a spare motor for a father/son project. Would fitting a 1986 305 or 350 SB chev into a 1996 Commodore, V6 model, meet the certification rules? Would it have to be fuel injected, as the V6 is, or could it be fitted with a carburettor.

Hi Keith
I'm assuming it was registered in NZ when new, if so there is no reason it can't be fitted with a carburettored engine. Of course it would require certification.
Cheers

Thanks. Yes registered from new in New Zealand. Looks like some planning needs to be done. Thanks again.
