My Landcruiser 100 series is certified for 16x8 OE rims and 285/75R16 tires.
I have a set of 17x8 OE rims from a later model Landcruiser 200 series. And looking to put 285/70R17 tires on them. (Overall same rolling circumference).
Do I need to get a re-certification for this?
Cheers, Tom.

Your local certifier will be able to take care of that for you. (I'm presuming your vehicle is already certified for other modifications) Cheers Chris

Thanks Chris.
I also intend to keep the OE 16x8 as a spare - is this OK?
I could get it re-certified on both sets of wheels to use the 16x8 as spare with the 17x8's (as I only have four of these for the vehicle) - is this acceptable?

Hi Tom Yup the spare can be 16x8, just be certain that the tyre size is the same rolling diameter or you may risk damaging a differential. Yes you can get a vehicle certified for 2 sets of wheels, you will need to take both sets with you for the recertification as the vehicle will need to be inspected with both sets of wheels and tyres. Cheers Chris
