I've done a search online and in the forum and I can't find a clear answer. I understand that having fixed harnesses in a vehicle requires certification and a MSNZ authority card. I am currently building a mini (half cage + race seats with rears removed) that will be used for the odd event, however, it will also be road going and I do not want to do a full cage and go down the MSNZ authority card route. Would a retractable harness comply with seatbelt regulations or would this considered a harness and the standard rules apply? Example: Corbeau Retractable Harness (link)Thanks for the help.

Hi Kiwimini Only scratch built vehicles or vehicles with an appropriate motorsport authority card may be fitted with a seatbelt harness. Cheers Chris
