Hi I have an LVVTA certified Electric Roadster - I have been driving it since 2013 and doing some lower level motorsport since 2013 The cars is reasonable fast but the driver not so much so I don't win anything NZ Motorsport has just introduced a whole series of requirements - these are "dubious" at best and a brand new production EV in standard form will need the owner to jump though hoops before taking part in an Autocross or Motokhana!! For my car it appears to be worse At the minimum I need a "Motorsports EV Logbook" And that needs Must have a certificate of compliance demonstrating that the High Voltage Electrical system has been inspected and carries no inherent danger.Certification can be provided by LVVTA Must have a MotorSport New Zealand Electric Vehicle Logbook. This will not be provided until the presentation of the High Voltage Electrical System Certificate
So is the LVVTA aware that it can provide this certification?? And what is the process?? My initial thought were to go back to the Certifier that initially signed me off back in 2013 and discuss what we need

Hiya Duncan
This sounds like we need a 3 way conversation between yourself, LVVTA and MSNZ. Email tech@lvvta.org.nz and we can begin that conversation.
Cheers
Chris
