Hi. I'm looking at importing a used vehicle which has modifications.
It is a 2005 Ford Courier 4x4 diesel dual cab ute.
It has extensive modifications to the fuel system which I don't think will be an issue because I can put it back to stock. The mods are for biofuels, not power gains.
It has a hole drilled through the firewall in front of the driver for a component to bolt into the engine bay.
It has 3 holes drilled through the front of the engine bay next to a headlight. I have a photo of this but unsure how to post it here.
It has a bullbar which has had ladder rack holders welded onto it (upright shs mild steel). They are not protruding.
Will these things need to be certified, but also, will they be able to pass, or able be repaired if they fail? I am anxious about importing a vehicle if it would never be allowed on the road. Thanks.

Hi Culley Fuel system mods would require certification The holes in the engine bay, would need to know how big they are and precisely where, but if they are into structure it is likely it will require cert. The bullbars would probably not require cert but they would need to be safe from an external projections and drivers vision persepctive. Cheers Chris
