Hi I am considering options for repair of chassis rust in a 1969 Landrover. The vehicle has been converted to a Holden 6 cylinder engine from the original engine and that work has been certified and it has been consistently warranted and registered until WOF failure earlier this year due to chassis rust.
Instead of repairing the rust, I am considering a replacement galvanised chassis, this will need notching to accommodate the radiator but will otherwise be to factory standard. Any advice on whether I would need to have the vehicle re-certified if I was to do that would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks Gav
