Hi I'm planning on putting a engine in a fwd chassis which is too large to fit between the frame rails, the car is 1993 and NZ new. I basically plan on building a tube frame from the strut towers forward which will also have the engine mounts attached to it. Is this feasible? Has it been done before?
Cheers

Gidday As the vehicle was manufactured before 1 March 1999 is not required to comply with frontal impact requirements. So there is technical provision to allow it, but this is something you would be placed to take your car to a certifier and discuss the how and what with them to make sure it is feasible. Hope that helps. Chris
