When mounting bigger brakes, for better performance (larger engine swap). Is it ok to use a single piece, steel adapter plate, that bolts to the original oem mounting holes. And then the caliper bolts to the adapter plate. If it is allowed, does it have to be inspected by anyone else, apart from the LVV certifier? Looking at upgrading brakes on a Volvo 244, if oem don't cope with the increase in power. Thanks

Thanks Hi Mrsix (is it Mr 6 or Mrs IX?) :-) Without seeing what you are proposing, that sounds like the ideal recipe, providing the correct fasteners are used and that the steel plate is of suitable thickness. Hope that helps Cheers Chris PS - apologies for the slow reply, for whatever reason I did not get a notification that there was a question on the forum)

Hi Chris, no worries. thanks for the reply. I know poor explanation, no pics. I'm talking of something along the lines of what Hopper Stoppers do. I think I have a oem solution, without the need for any adapters I'll be back with more questions.
